All reports and fees must be up-to-date before you can renew your plate.<\/span><\/p>\n In the state of Illinois, you can be arrested if you are found to be operating with an expired IRP plate. The renewal date is shown on the cab card you received, and you will receive a reminder notice from the IRP about three months before the renewal due date.
