North Dakota requires that you submit an IFTA License Application to the Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division. For the initial application there is a $20 fee along with a $5 license fee and an additional $1 for your decals. Any extra decals are $3.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n North Dakota is one of 48 U.S. states that have joined the International Fuel Tax Agreement. \u00a0As a trucker in this state, you\u2019ll need to know how this agreement applies to you and your business. \u00a0First of all, congratulations on working hard to get your CDL and joining the nationwide team of professional drivers! \u00a0Before you get started, you may need to obtain an <\/span>IFTA North Dakota<\/span><\/a> license. \u00a0Here\u2019s what you need to know:<\/span><\/p>\n The International Fuel Tax Agreement was created as a more efficient method for collecting and disbursing fuel use taxes among the states. Drivers are required to keep records of all fuel purchases and mileage accrued in each state or jurisdiction on their route. \u00a0This information is to be reported to the IFTA via your base jurisdiction on a quarterly basis.
